The company was officially founded in 2012 by Dr. Shimrit Perkol-Finkel and Dr. Ido Sella, renowned marine biologists with vast international experience in the ecology and biology of artificial habitats and urban marine environments.

Shimrit Perkol-Finkel, Ph.D., founder and CEO, has over 10 years of experience in the field of Marine Biology and Ecology, in particular the design, evaluation and monitoring of artificial habitats and urban marine environments.
Shimrit is also a partner in SeArc – Ecological Marine Consulting, a marine ecology consulting firm, where she has gained extensive technical experience in sustainable management of urban marine structures, conservation and rehabilitation of species and habitat, and planning and execution of monitoring programs.
Shimrit holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology, all from Tel-Aviv University.
Ido Sella, founder and CTO, is a professional biologist with over 8 years of experience in the field of Marine Biology and Ecology, in particular development of cultivation methods of marine invertebrates. Ido, also partner at SeArc – Ecological Marine Consulting, is the main inventor in a number of biological inventions, and both his M.Sc. thesis and Ph.D. dissertation were patented by Tel- Aviv University and are in the process of commercialization.
Ido holds a B.Sc. in Life Sciences, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology, all from Tel-Aviv University.
Michael Simoni is the Company's specialist in construction material technology.
Michael Simoni has over 19 years of experience in the field of construction materials technology and quality assurance, in particular the design, testing and evaluation of concrete and its components.
Michael is a partner and a managing director in AFEC (Applications For Excellent Construction) group of companies, which provides design, manufacture, marketing of concrete and masonry admixtures and additives, and a wide range of technical support services including research and development, seminars and training programs.
Michael holds a B.Sc. in geology and mineralogy from the Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva.
